It is not that it is so horribly cold. 38 degrees outside right now, and sunny. But it takes time to adjust to a generally lower temperature. Norway is not as cold as most Americans want to believe, but it is colder than both North Carolina and Florida. No doubt about that.
Norwegians tend to laugh at immigrants from warmer countries that think it is generally cold here. So we say "why don't you wear more/warmer clothes?" It is not that. I am wearing warm clothes, Ingunn's wearing warm clothes, Philip and Tia as well, but it is still cold. It is something about getting adjusted to the climate, and that takes some time. It took time to adjust to the temperature in Florida, and the humidity. It takes time to adjust back now we're home. Suppose it is the bodily thermostat, and it takes some time to level off everything.
In the meantime.....
